November Meeting Features 4 Great Companies!

Wildcat Angels completed its November Meetings with a visit from our featured guest, Northwestern University President Morton Schapiro, and outstanding pitches from four great companies:

• GrooveBug: A personalized rich media music magazine and discovery engine designed for the iPad.  Download this new way to experience and enjoy music.  This team has made amazing progress from the NUvention and the NU Incubator in just a short amount of time.
• Syndio Social: Uses social networks to make the intangibles of management tangible.  A software and consulting solution that makes it possible for managers to do their job faster and more effectively by sorting through Big Data quickly.  They already have Fortune 100 clients, were featured in the Chicago Tribune and just went to the White House to be honored as leading young entrepreneurs.
• SweetPerk: Builds custom, branded apps for local shopping districts.  Another NU startup making great progress with strong user adoption and a backlog of clients waiting for orders to be fulfilled.  Download the app today to discover new places and discounts to shop and dine in Evanston, Oak Park, Naperville, Lake Forest and Rogers Park (with more to come...)

Wildcat Angels isn’t a part of this event and we don’t know how reputable it is, but it sounds like it might be fun, so we thought we would let you know about it.

A new reality show being shot in Chicago is in search of entrepreneurs, inventors, and anyone with a great idea. You will be given the opportunity to pitch your concepts to a panel of venture capitalists, as well as other successful entrepreneurs and funding houses. If you think you have the next million-dollar idea, service, or product but need financial backing, then this is the show that can turn your fantasies into reality! Come prepared to pitch to our casting directors why your concept should be chosen and demonstrate your next big thing.
